YMCA Level 3 Award in Education and Training
The aim of this qualification is to provide an introduction to teaching and prepare an individual for employment in a specific occupational area.
This qualification is aimed at learners 19+ who are looking to take that first step in delivering education - perhaps someone who has never taught before or is currently teaching as a trainee, or an assessor who would like to develop their career.
On successful completion of the qualification assessment you will receive certificates from both YMCA Awards and PD:Education as well as a free one-year membership of PD:Verified, our professional register for qualified tutors, assessors and quality assurers.
This course typically takes 8 weeks to complete however we understand everyone is different so provide the flexibility to complete within 10 months and choose either blended or online delivery.
This qualification will cover the following units:
- Understanding the role, responsibilities and relationships in education and training (H/505/0053)
- Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training (D/505/0052)
- Understanding assessment in education and training (R/505/0050)

A three month payment plan is available (£45 administration fee applies).
You must have access to a computer and the internet to study this qualification. You will also need access to a training centre so that you can video working with a group of learners, shadowed by a qualified professional who will need to countersign your work.
